Healthcare and teaching hospitals

The practice's largest sector, teaching hospitals, medical colleges and specialist centres, including the FIDIC-award campus at Gambat.

For the Government of Sindh the practice delivered the Pir Abdul Qadir Shah Jeelani Institute of Medical Sciences at Gambat, Khairpur, a 37-acre teaching hospital and medical college whose brief ran to a trauma centre, an OPD complex, a burns centre, a nuclear medicine and cancer care centre and liver, kidney and bone marrow transplant centres; it won the FIDIC Asia Pacific Project Award 2025. For the Pakistan Navy it designed PNS Hafeez in Islamabad, a 500-bed hospital of 675,000 sq ft, and is upgrading PNS Shifa across a 60-acre Karachi site that stays in service throughout the works. The tertiary care hospital at King Edward Medical University, the Health Sciences campus for Bahria University at Islamabad, and a medical school for Maldives National University at Hulhumalé complete a healthcare record that spans provincial, naval and university clients alike.

Defence and security

Training estate for the Airport Security Force and the Pakistan Navy.

For the Airport Security Force the practice master planned and designed the academy beside Jinnah International Airport, 70 acres and 464,746 sq ft of academic blocks, hostels, firing range, auditorium and staff accommodation inside one boundary wall, and supervised the construction. The Pakistan Navy is a long-standing client, whose PNS Hafeez and PNS Shifa hospitals are set out under Healthcare above. Military Engineer Services is a client of the practice; no MES commission appears in the project record published on this site.

Government and public infrastructure

Provincial governments, a development authority, and the roads, drainage and coastal works of Karachi.

For the Karachi Development Authority the practice designs the city's road and drainage schemes. The Munawar Chowrangi underpass on the Gulistan-e-Johar corridor, which the KDA opened to traffic on 26 July 2026, takes the last signal off the corridor with a stormwater holding tank sized from Karachi rainfall data; a link road and nallah from Moach Goth to Hawkes Bay is under construction, and rehabilitation and flyover schemes are in design on Korangi's arterial roads and at Clifton. The Governments of Sindh and Balochistan, the Workers Welfare Board Sindh and State Life Insurance Corporation are also clients of the practice; the Sindh government's Gambat teaching hospital is set out under Healthcare above.

Universities and campuses

Medical, health-sciences and law campuses in Pakistan and the Maldives.

King Edward Medical University holds 203.77 acres on the Muridke–Narowal road for a new campus; the practice master planned it and designed the undergraduate and postgraduate medical colleges, the institute of dentistry, and the colleges of allied health science and nursing, taking the elevational language from the historic Patiala Block in Lahore. The SZABUL campus at Korangi, 8.47 acres, 170,190 sq ft, is a law university planned as a complete academic and residential environment, and supervised through construction. Maldives National University commissioned the practice in 2024 to design a medical school for 100 students at Hulhumalé, and named it as the designer when it unveiled the drawings in Malé that February.
