Project overview
In 2024 the Maldives National University (MNU) appointed Atif Nazar (Pvt.) Ltd. to design a new medical school building for 100 students, giving its Faculty of Health Sciences a campus of its own. The university unveiled the designs at a ceremony in Male' on 8 February 2024 and names the practice as their author. The firm carried out the detailed architectural and engineering design of the multi-storey academic block, including its classrooms, laboratories and student facilities.
The school is to be complemented by a teaching hospital of 300 beds. Both facilities are to be built at Hulhumalé.
