Gujjar Nala Corridor Connection to the Lyari Expressway

Gujjar Nala runs south through District Central to the Lyari River, and service roads were built along the lined channel on both banks. They end without a proper connection to the Lyari Expressway, so traffic from the corridor is pushed back onto the local street network.

We prepared the feasibility and design for the connection: the left and right side roads brought onto the Lyari Expressway, U-turn arrangements where the corridor crosses Shahrah-e-Humayun, Sir Shah Muhammad Suleman Road and Altaf Ali Barelvi Road, and typical cross sections for a 7.9 m road corridor on each bank. The submission carries a key plan of the whole corridor and a detail plan at each of the three crossings.
