Project overview
Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences appointed the practice to master plan and design its Wadh campus at Uthal. The site runs to 152 acres, of which 85 are usable — a distinction that governs the plan, because the unusable two-thirds is not evenly distributed and the buildable land does not sit in one piece.
The academic block is ground plus three at 36,344 sq ft. Everything else is kept to ground plus one so that the campus stays low against its landscape: administration, a library, boys' and girls' hostels of 37,508 sq ft, visiting faculty accommodation, a gymnasium and sports area, a medical centre and a cafeteria, with parking organised rather than left to the ground.
The practice carried master planning, architecture, structural and MEP engineering and infrastructure planning, and holds project management and detailed supervision.
